Quebec Par Classe Championship : two games left and a special guest

The Elite and Par Classe Championships, the only 7-rounds tournaments of the year, are currently going on in Montreal. 

GM Sambuev, dominating the Elite section with 5/5, is playing young master Olivier Kenta Chiku Ratté tomorrow morning. Here are the complete standings after 5 rounds, as well as the pairings for tomorrow (on chess-results)

The players had a very nice surprise this Saturday ! Hollywood actor and film producer Tobey Macguire made an appearance at the tournament. The Quebec Chess Federation collaborates with Mr. Macguire for Pawn sacrifice, a movie about the Fischer-Spassky match. It will be filmed in Montreal and features several chess players from Quebec as extras.
