Quebec Junior and Senior Championships
On February 7-9, 2014, the Quebec Chess Federation is hosting its annual Junior Tournament, a two section (over and under 1500) Swiss exclusive to the U20 players living in Quebec. This tournament qualifies for the 2014 Montreal CYCC (need 50% score). 1175$ in prizes only useable in chess-related activities. Entry fees are 40$ for the +1500 and 25$ for the Participation section (U1500).
This year, a brand new Quebec Senior Championship is being held together with the Junior Championship. Any player living in Quebec and aged 55 or older can play in this single section Swiss tournament. Registration is 30$ and the prize fund is of 500$ (including class prizes).
The venue is, as usual, the College Brebeuf in Montreal. On site registration supplementary fee : 10$.
