Sambuev wins the Mauricie Open
196 players showed up for the 2014 Mauricie Open (the lowest since 1992). Once again, GM Sambuev won (4.5/5, $1000), by defeating IM Hebert in round 4. IM Hebert and NM Bolduc tied for second and third place. Two promising members of Team-Quebec convincingly won their section : Maïli-Jade Ouellet (5/5 section B), Qiuyu Huang (4.5/5 section C), each of them winning $900.
