The 2014 FIDE Candidates Tournament ended this week, with a victory of Indian Grandmaster Vishy Anand, who went undefeated with a convincing score of 8.5/14, including a very explosive draw against Aronian in Round 8. Despite Anand, Karjakin and Kramnik getting ahead by a couple points before the halfpoint of the tournament, it stayed pretty close as there is only 2.5 points between the winner and the 8th place, and no head-to-head ended 2-0. Russia's Serguei Karjakin finished alone in second place at 7.5/14, a full point behind.
