Follow the 2014 Capablanca Memorial

The 49th edition of the Capablanca Memorial will take place in Cuba, on May 7-18, in La Habana.

This big chess festival will have three categories : 

• The Elite Group is a double rotation featuring top GMs : Lenier Dominguez (Cuba), Vassily Ivanchuk (Ukraine), Wesley So (Philippines), Francisco Vallejo (Spain), Zoltan Almasi (Hungary) and Lazaro Bruzon (Cuba)
• The Premier Group is a 10 players round robin with top Cuban players and various guests : GMs Ynieski Quesada (Cuba), Emilio Cordova (peru), Isan Ortiz (Cuba), Danyyl Dvirnyy (Italy), Bator Sambuev (Canada), Yuri Gonzalez (Cuba), Yusnel Bacallao ( Cuba) and IMs Carlos Hevia and Yasser Quesada from Cuba.
• An Open tournament strictly  limited to FIDE masters (around 100 players)
