Jackie Peng is Canada's Youngest WIM

FIDE confirmed today that Jackie Peng has been awarded the WIM title!

The title makes the 16-year-old Jackie the youngest WIM in Canada.

Jackie won WIM title at the North American Junior Championship, held as part of the Kitchener Chess Fest (July 30-Aug 4).  According to the tournament rules, first place including ties up to 3 players, would be awarded WIM title. Since WFM Alena Kats, WFM Simone Liao, and WFM Jackie Peng all tied as top woman, all three will be awarded the WIM title.
