Alexandra Botez becomes Stanford’s Chess Club president

Alexandra Botez, one of Canada's strongest female players, is now the first female president of the Stanford University Chess Club (in California).

While Alexandra earned a chess scholarship for the University of Texas, Dallas, she decided to attend Stanford to "grow a lot more as a person".
