Canada finishes fifth at the World U16 Olympiads!

Canada's first team finished fifth in the World U16 Olympiads. Their only loss was against India (the highest rated team) and they tied their matches against Croatia, Uzbekistan, Moldova, Hungary and Romania.

Michael Song should also be a FM thanks to his 2375 performance in this tournament.

They are not the only Canadian to have won a prize, as Victoria Jung-Doknjas and Changrong (Penny) Yu, both won the U16 Chess Olympiad Photo Contest! Also worth mentionning is Max Gedajlovic's strong performance in the third team (7/9) which earns him 46.8 rating points.
