Championnat Ouvert de la Mauricie (Trois-Rivières open)

The Championnat Ouvert de la Mauricie, held in Trois-Rivière every year in March is back for another (41st!) edition, this year on March 20-22.

Prize fund : $10 000, not guaranteed but based on 210 registrations, which is 5 under the average of the last two editions. Every section starting at U1400 has a first prize of $1000.

Registration fees : $69 for everyone, $75 after Feb 14. Free for masters before Mar 13th.

Schedule : 7: 30 PM on Friday, then 10 AM and 4 PM for the weekend games.

Time control : 75 min for 30 moves and 45 minutes to mate, plus 30 seconds per move.
