Razvan Preotu and Qiyu Zhou in Europe
IM Razvan Preotu, the 16th highest rated U16 player in the World will participate at the Cappelle la Grande Championship in France and the Reykjavik Open (Iceland), thanks to sponsorship from CMA and the CFC ($1000 each).
Qiyu Zhou, the current U14 girls World Champion, also secured sponsorship from different sources (including the FQE and the Outaouais Chess League) and will participate in both tournaments as well. More details are available on her website.
They won't be the only Canadian participants in these tournaments, as the registration lists already show quite a few Canadian players, including GM Eric Hansen for the Reykjavik Open.
