

While it is still early to make any predictions, some Canadians are doing quite well at the World Youth Chess Championships. Nameer Issani and Qiyu Zhou both have 4/5, while 6 other Canadians (William Graif, Razvan Preotu, Richard Chen, Nicholas Vettese, Eugene Hua and Aiden Zhou) have 3.5/5. Maïli-Jade Ouellet, who started with 3/3, unfortunately lost two games in row.
