BOTW 2015.11.12

Showdown in St.Louis (Nov.12-15, 2015)

Originally billed as a set of matches between US #1 and #2 Hikaru Nakamura and Fabiano Caruana, this event has expanded to include two more players. And not just any players: former Women's World Champion and current #1 woman, Chinese GM Hou Yifan (2664) plays Indian GM Parimarjan Negi (2664), who was the second youngest GM of all time and currently a student at Stanford.

There will be four days of chess, and the fomat varies each day. 

Thursday Nov.12: Basque chess
Each GM plays two games simultaneously against the same opponent (chairs on wheels manditory), G/90 + 30. 

Friday, Nov.13: Fischer Random 
Four games at G/20 + 10.

Saturday, Nov 14: Rapid 
Four games at G/15 +10.

Sunday, Nov.15: Blitz
Eight games at 3 + 2.

 Games start at 1pm CST, 2pm EST.

2015 World Senior (Nov.9-22, 2015) 

Currently underway in Acqui Terme, Italy. There are 18 GMs competing across four sections: Women's and Open, both 50+ and 65+.
Four Canadians are playing: Bill Doubleday in the 65+, and IM David Cummings, Brian McLaren and Andre Zybura in the 50+.

2015 European Teams (Nov.13-22, 2015)
