2016 SATEC Grades 1 - 12 Challenge Chess Tournament

Entry Fee: $25 per player ** $20/ player for 3+ players from the same school 

Sections: 

Beginner - Players rated < 1100 CFC or unrated AND with less than 2 years' tournament experience 

Intermediate - Players rated < 1500, who have played on school teams or in tournaments for 2+ years 

Championship - Players rated 1500+ or unrated, who have tournament experience and can compete 

Prizes: 

For every 6 participants*, 1 fully paid entry to the ONTARIO HIGH SCHOOL CHESS CHAMPIONSHIP ($50 value) 

* If the Top Girl is not already recognised, there will be an entry for the Top Girl in each section with 4+ girls 

Teams: 

If there are at least 3 teams in a section (3+ players from the same school), the Top Team will receive 3 paid entries ($120 value) 

If at least 3 schools have 1+ player in all 3 sections, the Top Combined Team (1 player in each section) will receive 3 paid entries ($120 value) 

Pizza and juice / water will be on sale at lunch, beginning 12 noon.
