World Youth U16 Chess Olympiad 2016

July 22- 29, 2016.
Poprad – Tatry, Slovakia.

A 9-round swiss with 54 teams from around the world. 

Iran is ranked #1 with an average rating of 2461. Russia has two IMs and is ranked second. Canada is ranked 26.
Oddly, countries one might expect to play -- the USA, Netherlands, France, Italy -- have no teams entered. 
Not so oddly, given the Brexit vote, England and Wales did not send teams, but Scotland and Ireland have.
