New Book by Canadian Author: Cummings, the English

Canadian IM David Cummings has published a chess book with Everyman: Opening Repertoire: The English

Rather than going into the familiar structures with g3, which were extremely well-explored in repertoire books by Marin and Kosten, Cummings' repertoire is based on the Maroczy vs ...g6 or ...b6, and e3 and Qc2 against most other defences. In addition to broadening the repertoire of 1.c4 players, the IQP and hanging pawns middlegames that this repertoire will often go toward will make it useful for both 1.d4 and 1...d5 players.

It was published in mid-December in Europe, and you can expect to find it in Strategy Games in February.
