2017 Canadian Closed Chess Championship

June 27 - July 1, 2017
Olympic Stadium, Montréal

Eligibility: Open to rated players over 2000 CFC, FQE or FIDE; or Provincial champions.
Schedule: Tuesday - Friday: 10 am & 4 pm; Saturday: 10 am. TieBreak at 6 pm. 
TC: 40/90 + G/30 + 30 sec. incr from move 1.
Entry fee: $250 ($150 for IM; free for GM under certain conditions)

Prizes

1st: Qualification to the 2017 World Cup and air fare; $1,500; and $ 1,000 CFC subsidy for 2018 Continental. 
2017 World Cup is in Tbilisi, Georgia, September 1-25, 2017.

2nd: $ 1,000 + participation to AIDEF Championship in Tunisia

3rd-4th: Based on entries

Others: FIDE Norms are available: IM title awarded to the winner or co-winner. 2nd and 3rd receive IM norms. 65% is needed for an FM title.
