Erindale Open Chess Tournament
The FIDE Candidates Tournament has reached its halfpoint and there is still no clear leader. After 8 rounds, Anand and Aronian just drew and they share the lead at 5/8, half a point ahead of Kramnik. All five other players stand at 3.5/8, with only 6 rounds to go.

If you've been following Canadian chess recently, you will have noticed that the Reykjavik Open attracted a large Canadian contingent.
Tanraj Sohal won the BC Provincial Chess Championship for the 12th year in a row (grade 1 to 12, a record) and will represent British Columbia at the 2014 Canadian Chess Challenge to be held in Winnipeg, Manitoba.
This tournament, open to the active military and civilian personnel of the Canadian Forces, is the national qualifier for the 25th NATO Chess CHhampionship, which will be helf in Quebec City next September.
Chessgames.com recently opened a new tournament page for the 1967 Winnipeg Tournament for Canada's Centennial. All the games can be seen online (or you can download the PGNs).
