The CFC Regular Chess Post – October 11/12 – Vancouver Open.
Ryan Lo, Jason Cao, and Jack Cheng won the 2012 Vancouver Open played this past weekend!
All went undefeated and ended up with 5pts/6 games. Interestingly enough, all three of them went head-to-head during the tournament, which resulted fittingly in their only drawn games.
The added bonus is all three hit their individual all-time high ratings and have jumped into the 2200+ category.

The CFC Regular Chess Post – October 8/12 – 2012 Fall Governors’ On-line Meeting Motions.
66% ( 38 ) of the 58 CFC Governors attended the 2012 Fall Governors’ On-line Meeting ( Oct. 1 – 7 ). There were 16 motions dealt with and 15 of them passed. Of interest to members are that the CFC AGM in July will be on-line from now on, as it was this past July , and the 3 Quarterly On-line Meetings ( Oct.; Jan.; April ) will now all be open to viewing, as is the AGM currently. To see the rest of the motions’ results, go to the CFC Forums Page, for the special public meeting forum: http://www.chesscanada.info/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=35 .
