2014 Quebec Carnival Tournament

The Ste-Foy Chess Club is hosting its annual Tournoi d'échecs du Carnaval on Jan 24-25-26, in Quebec City.

2014 Canadian University Chess Championship

The 2014 University Chess Championship will be held at Carleton University in Ottawa, on January 11 and 12, 2013. It will be a 5 rounds Team Swiss (teams of 4 players). 

There are two sections, championship (open) and U1800 average rating.

 

Follow the 23rd Senior World Championship

The fifth round of the Senior World Championship is taking place in Opatija, Croatia, from November 11 to November 24.

GM Norm for Raja Panjwani at SPICE Cup !

Canadian IM Raja Panjwani obtained his first GM norm at the SPICE Cup, Susan Polgar's tournament. It took place on October 15-19.

2014 Canadian Open and CYCC : Official Website

The 2014 Canadian Open Chess Championship and Canadian Youth Chess Championships will be organized in downtown Montreal next summer. At least 600 players are expected in total and the tournaments will be held at the Fairmont Queen Elizabeth (*****).

2013 Quebec Elite and Par Classe Championships

The Quebec Chess Federation will be organizing both events together this year on Thanksgiving weekend. The Par Classe is still a 5-rounds tournament where players must play in their rating section, and the Elite is still a single section 2000+ (1800 for juniors) 7-rounds Swiss tournament.

2013 NAYCC : Results

Chess'n Math organized the 2013 North American Youth Chess Championship and offered an incredible opportunity to Canadian players.

The 2013 North American Youth Chess Championship is taking place in Toronto, August 14-18. It is a high-stake 9 round swiss tournament because of the 26 FIDE titles awarded to the winners.
