2016 Olympiads : How the Canadian team will be selected.

The next Olympiads will be in Baku, Sept 17-30, 2016. Players must have played at least 10 games during the year prior to 180 days before the start of the Olympiad.

The national team consists of 5 players:

CFC Assembly voting ledger

Members can now access the voting ledger and see which voting members supported the recent bids at the CFC assembly. Windsor defeated Quebec City in the CYCC/CO bids and Kingston in the NAYCC bid.

 

CFC : A national sporting federation!

The CFC has been officially recognized as a national sporting federation by the Canadian Olympic Committee. More details are still to come, but this should greatly help the CFC and organizers to find more funding.

This week's game is from the London FIDE Open, in which Eric Hansen tied for 2nd place. Eric carefully positionned all his pieces and prepared a very nice trap for his opponent.
