179 players showed up at the College Brebeuf, up from 153 last year. GM Sambuev, IM Hambleton and IM Hebert, among others, will be fighting for the $1100 section A first prize.

The Canadian Open has now come to an end. Complete reports will be found here soon, as well as in the July issue of the CFC webzine. Until then, we we already have a couple souvenirs from the tournament to post online !

Last Sunday, GM Bluvshtein gave a simul in Montreal at the Complexe Desjardins. He defeated 13 opponents in less than 2 hours, giving a nice show to the numerous bypassers.
