Thierry Le Duin (1968-2015)

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Thierry Le Duin, vice-president of the Quebec Chess Federation (FQE). Thierry was a member of the FQE's executive since 2009  and participated in the organization of numerous tournaments.

Kitchener : Spring Tournaments

In March, the Kitchener Riedstra Memorial will take place on the 14-15th weekend. . Round 1: 60 + 30; 2-5: 90 + 30. $50 to preregister or $60 at the door. The venue will be the Kitchener City Hall.

In April, Brian Clark will be organizing the April quick (25 + 10 second delay). Registration fees; $30.

IM Norm for Victor Plotkin at Gibraltar!

FM Victor Plotkin scored an impressive 2.5/6 against GMs and 1/2 against IMs, and secured an IM norm before the last round.
