Something very strange happened during the website update today.
It seems that everyone's rating history for 2013 has been deleted.
It is rare to see a player win an open tournament in Quebec without having a FIDE title. The first place is usually disputed among GMs Kovalyov and Sambuev, as well as IM Hebert.
The Mississauga Chess Club is changing day and location for 2015, opening on Wednesday January 7th, at Erindale United Church.
This week's GOTW was played two days ago at the Père-Noël (Santa Claus) tournament in Montreal, organized by the Montreal chess club (associated with CMA).

The World Youth U-16 Chess Olympiad has just concluded in Hungary with the top Canadian team placing 5th. In the 8th round, the seventh seeded Canada faced the Hungarian team (ranked 5th).
David Cummings crushed all opposition at the Panamerican Senior Championship and finished clear first with a score of 7/7 and a FIDE performance of 3015! He should now represent Canada at the World Senior Championship.
Canada's first team finished fifth in the World U16 Olympiads. Their only loss was against India (the highest rated team) and they tied their matches against Croatia, Uzbekistan, Moldova, Hungary and Romania.
Michael Song should also be a FM thanks to his 2375 performance in this tournament.
